I began my jewelry career in Madison working for a major mall jeweler. You might wonder why I didn't start working at Warrens for my dad in the store he owned. Actually, my dad got me the job and my start in Madison. His philosophy was to have me gain outside experience, both in management and sales, to prepare me for the time I would join him in his Watertown store.
After working in the Madison store for 7 years and ultimately managing the store, I decided it was time to come home.
I have taken courses through the Gemological Institute of America (G.I.A.) including diamonds and jewelry retailing. I have also learned one thing that many "salespeople" haven't, and that is how to listen. I have not stayed in business by selling people things they don't need or can't afford, but by helping them find the quality piece of fine jewelry that fulfills their dreams.
In 2008 I will be celebrating 20 years in the jewelry industry and Generation Jewelers will be celebrating 30 years of fine jewelry in Watertown.
Debbie Neitzel has joined the staff at Generation Jewelers. Debbie brings a wealth of experience to her job, having worked for more than 15 years at the former Wagner's Jewelers in Oconomowoc and Watertown. Debbie will be working on Fridays and Saturdays -- please stop in and say "hi."
Nell has been with Generation Jewelers as a part time associate since September of 2000. She handles a variety of duties -- fine jewelry sales, maintaining the customer mailing list and special event planning. Like Dave, Nell's focus has been to offer customers fine service by providing a wide range of jewelry choices to fit their style and price range.
